BIOLACTO: A natural solution for the profound balance of microflora in the animal guts
BIOLACTO is a postbiotics product produced by fermentation of lactic acid bacteria, namely Lactobacillus acidophilus strain BFI. As a feed additive, BIOLACTO mainly contributes to the profound balance of microflora in the animal gut. It has been proven to effectively inhibit the growth of enteropathogens, and as an effective agent in the treatment of acute bacterial and viral diarrhoea in swine and poultry.
Furthermore, compared with the antibiotics, BIOLACTO leaves no residue in the animal bodies, and therefore poses no harm and side effects on both the animals and human as end consumers. It promotes the balance of microfloral species in the gastrointestinal track of farm animals, and does not upset the balance like antibiotics do. BIOLACTO, is a green and consumer-friendly substitute for antibiotics now and in the future.
Characteristics
① BIOLACTO belongs to the important Category of postbiotics manufactured by pure culture of single lactic acid bacteria strain
(Lactobacillus acidophilus BFI), instead of a co-culture of different species. BIOLACTO provides a very prominent and stable preventive and remedial effect on diarrhoea.
② The active ingredient of BIOLACTO is a novel blend of heat-deactivated cells of Lactobacillus acidophilus strain BFI, and the fermentative metabolites, including lactic acid, bacteriocin-like substances and forming agent.
③ The heat-deactivated cells of BIOLACTO ensures that there is no loss of its intended effects in processes like granulation, contact with other added antibiotics, and adverse storage conditions, which are common problems using other products that contain viable cells.
④ Each gram of BIOLACTO contains more than 1 billion of heat-deactivated cells of Lactobacillus strain BFI, which is over 10 times more cells and effective compared to other products.
⑤ As with viable cells, the heat-deactivated cells of Lactobacillus acidophilus strain BFI in BIOLACTO can firmly adhere to the intestinal epithelium, resulting in the formation of a biofilm. When fully covered by this biofilm, the intestinal epithelium is then safely protected from the adhesion and invasion of enteropathogens, and the farm animal is then safely protected from intestine-related diseases.
⑥The bacteriocin-like substances in BIOLACTO are heat-stable even after heat treatment of up to 100 degrees Celsius for 30 minutes, and are important ingredients that inhibit the growth of pathogens such as E. coli strain 078, Salmonella spp. and Staphylococcus aureus. The bacteriocin-like substances in BIOLACTO remain un-destructed and active in processes like heat granulation.
⑦ It has also been proven that BIOLACTO works exceptional effectively under the synergetic effects of combined application with acidifiers such as BIOCITRO.
⑧ BIOLACTO has the added advantage in decreasing the content of ammonia, and hence the unpleasant pungent odours in the excreta.
